Named for Beatrice Turner, daughter of Andrew and Adele Turner who owned the home beginning in 1907, this 2nd-floor bedroom is one of the most popular guest rooms at The Cliffside Inn. A retreat to the Victorian era, the suite features lovely door panels hand-painted by Beatrice, who became an influential artist and somewhat of a Newport legend. She summered at the residence from 1907 (when she was 18) to 1948.
Other room amenities include a bay window, upholstered window seat, antique heart pine floors, gas fireplace with carved stone mantel, gorgeous upholstered king-sized bed, and antique bureau. Carrara marble and black granite define the private bathroom that boasts a two-person whirlpool bath set beneath a bay window. The bathroom also includes a two-person spa shower with rain showerhead and body sprays.
An experience to rival any romantic Newport hotel, this guest room also offers an LED TV, blackout shades for leisurely mornings, and Bluetooth radio, in addition to individually-controlled heat and AC and free wireless internet. Beatrice’s Room can accommodate up to two (2) total guests.
